I think that the type of diabetes you are talking about has to do with your diet. If you eat good food with natural sugars, it can be the same as refined sugars,etc. Honestly, the only disease that I have heard about that is not a diet-related difference between different cultures is that African-Americans are way more likely to have sickle-cell anemia. Hi...if you're only thinking of doing South African traditions, you have a choice of nine different black cultures...(the other two are English and Afrikaans)...try google and ask them what the 11 cultures of South Africa are!! The best ones I can think of are the Zulus (with their leopard skins and spears and shields)...the Ndebeble, they're really colourful...and my one friend is Vendan and her culture was quite interesting!! Oh, and while you're on google, ask for traditional South African mu...
